Reimagine Nature Master Plan

This plan establishes an inspirational framework to guide how Public Lands will care for, grow and prioritize investments for the next 10-20 years. The plan proposes big ideas to transform and sustain quality outdoor spaces that are safe, welcoming and walkable; ensuring people, wildlife and ecosystems benefit from fair investment of Salt Lake City resources over the next 20 years.

CURRENT STEPS

The Final Draft Plan was submitted to SLC City Council on January 14, 2022 to begin the adoption process anticipated to conclude in Spring 2022. Use the link on this page to view the Draft Final Plan.

Public comments on the Final Draft Plan can be submitted through this City Council web page.

Plan Creation Process

Since early 2020, more than 12,000 community members have engaged in providing input for this plan, directing a vision and identifying what needs to be improved for our natural lands, urban forests, city parks and city golf courses. A wide variety of methods were utilized to collect ideas organized into two periods (2020 and 2021) each asking different sets of questions about Public Lands. See the results in the engagement report links below.
